A respirator’s exhalation valve works by closing when the wearer inhales, pulling the inhaled breath through the filter material, and then opening to allow exhaled unfiltered breath to be expelled through the exhalation valve.
An Exhalation Valve opens when you breathe out, to let your hot, humid breath easily escape the mask, but closes when you breathe in so the air is filtered through the mask. This reduces how hot and moist the mask is, makes breathing easier, and can reduce fogging of your glasses by letting the air escape away from them.
Exhalation valves, which make masks easier to breathe through and more comfortable, are appropriate when the mask is meant to protect the wearer. For instance, valved masks can protect workers from dust at a construction site or hospital workers from infected patients.
Exhalation Valve to stop the external from the breath valve, but the internal air can go out easier, which will get more comfortable wearing experience. In different shape and sizes, but all including: plastic base, silicone rubber and plastic cover.
